
Elizabeth Azamatov
OC DanceFit was founded in 2015 by teacher and dancer Elizabeth Azamatov.
Elizabeth was born in Mexico city, by the age of seven years old she joined the ” Institute of Arts of Mexico City”, where she trained with Monica Pizano and Alma Udapilleta, under the direction and guidance of Laura Urdapilleta Trueba a Prima ballerina from the National Dance Company of Mexico.
At age 12 Elizabeth joined the “National School of Dance” in Mexico City, where she trained Vaganova and Cuban technique.
While training at the National School of Dance, Elizabeth and her classmates created a choreography under the tutelage of Rocio Barraza Rivacoba the creator of Danzadance organization that was selected for the Mirarte Festival and the Congress of Music at the Superior Music School of Mexico.
She specializes in ballet, and is knowledgeable in Latin and European forms, character, and contemporary dance.
In addition, she has performed with National Company in Mexico and has danced in numerous productions such as “Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, La Bayadere, The Nutcracker, An American in Paris ” To named a few.
A Journey to California
Elizabeth joined South Coast Ballet Theater in 2012 and performed as a soloist in various choreographies and ballets under the direction of Sara Day and Maria Tikhomirova.
She attended the Royal Academy of Dance teaching techniques in Long Beach CA in 2013. In December 2023 she earned a certificate of Pedagogy and Didactics of Children’s Dance from ” The Institute of Culture of Zacatecas, Mexico”
Elizabeth is certified in Piyo which is a fusion of Pilates and yoga, She keeps being part of the dance community as she is part of LaViVa Flamenco dance company, has work as stage manager in various Ballet and Dance competitions like Youth Ballet Masters and Magic in motion; and currently a dancer for opening plays for various screenwriters and filmmakers.
Elizabeth has always have a passion for writing and teaching since an early age, besides all her dancing achievements she has a certificate of Grammar and punctuation from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a diploma of Spanish Language from the University of Valencia Spain. At the moment she is getting a degree in Cultural Management from the National Center of the Arts in Mexico.
Elizabeth likes to motivate her students and she loves to be growing in all aspects as a person, dancer and as a teacher.
