At OC DanceFit, we believe that movement is more than just exercise—it’s a celebration of expression, culture, and community. That belief came to life this spring as we had the joy of partnering with Learning Link at Hidden Hills Elementary to offer FREE dance classes and a special performance for young learners and their families.
Learning Link is a free, school-based program designed for children ages 0–5 and their caregivers. It offers a welcoming space where families can engage in early learning activities that support school readiness—everything from storytime and sensory play to music and movement. It’s all about building connections, confidence, and community before children even enter kindergarten.
Our program introduced these little learners to the world of dance in a nurturing, play-based environment. Through creative movement, music, and rhythm-based games, children explored body awareness, coordination, and self-expression. The energy in the room was electric, with laughter, excitement, and lots of proud dancers showing off their new moves!
To wrap up the series, we hosted a lively mini performance—a chance for our young dancers to shine. Parents, siblings, and staff gathered as the children confidently stepped onto the “stage” to demonstrate what they had learned. Whether twirling in a circle, clapping to the beat, or giving a final bow, every child was met with applause and encouragement.
Our favorite moment? Seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces when they realized that dance wasn’t about perfection—it was about fun, connection, and confidence.
We’re deeply grateful to Learning Link and Hidden Hills Elementary for welcoming us and supporting arts-based enrichment. Programs like these plant the seeds for a lifelong love of movement, creativity, and community.
